Airline on the hunt for sites for a potential relocation of its headquarters to the Thames Valley area.

Under the airport expansion plans, the airline’s current 500,000 sq ft home at Heathrow would be demolished to make way for the new runway.

It is thought Savills is scoping for suitable locations for BA including sites in Slough, Hayes and Uxbridge as well as business parks such as Stockley Park, although a spokeswoman for the airline insisted no agent had been formally instructed.

A number of developers are believed to have been approached and local authorities are thought to have held discussions with the airline over a potential move.
