I am developing a retail scheme. The construction contract is not yet finalised but I need the contractor to start work if I am to open on time. My quantity surveyor has suggested a letter of intent. Will this help?

Third-party rights

Question I am taking an FRI lease in a newly completed office. I will get third-party rights rather than collateral warranties from the construction team. Is the developer right that they are as good as, or better than, warranties?
