The normal rule is that the terms agreed between the landlord and the tenant are incorporated in the lease and can be fully enforced.

Question: My former landlord assured me I would not be responsible for any disrepair at the end of my lease but this was not written in the lease. The new landlord seeks to pursue me for disrepair at the premises. Can it do so?
