Austin Reed measures up for expansion
Austin Reed is set to accelerate its store opening programme in the UK. The Times
Nick Hollingworth, chief executive of the high street retailer, which was taken private last year, said Austin Reed was also actively seeking acquisitions among womenswear brands with between £30m to £50m of sales. The retailer, which is owned by Darius Capital, a vehicle of Guy Naggar, the French financier, reported profits of £4.4m for the year to the end of December 2006.
