Harvard University's $26bn endowment is considering selling some of its $5bn real-estate portfolio as it seeks better investment opportunities and to reduce its exposure to property.
The university's endowment is willing to sell any part of its $5bn of real-estate assets and accompanying future capital commitments, say people familiar with the matter. That figure represents $2bn in property holdings and an additional $3bn in future commitments to those assets.
The endowment, however, intends to sell only up to $500m in those assets and future commitments
