House of Fraser will occupy a 103,000 sq ft (9,568 sq m) three level store in the south east corner of Westfields White City shopping centre.

The signing of House of Fraser completes the letting of Westfield London’s six anchor stores which will occupy around one third of the total area of the scheme.

The six anchor stores are: House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Waitrose, Next and National Amusements.

The Westfield London project is a joint venture with CGI, who invested in the shopping-centre for the German open ended property fund hausInvest europa.

The development will open in 2008.

Don McCarthy, the new executive chairman of House of Fraser following its purchase by a Baugur-led consortium, said: ‘We have been selectively looking at opportunities where we can find our niche and growth potential in the market and we believe that the combination of the demographics and the scheme will be an excellent choice for House of Fraser.’
