J Crew to open two new London stores
J.Crew has signed a deal to open two new stores, a separate women’s wear and separate men’s wear shop.
The men’s shop will open at 38 Lamb’s Conduit Street, and will be named after the address, while the women’s collection boutique will open in Brompton Cross on Draycott Avenue. The news comes as the US retailer is preparing to open its 17,000 sq ft store on Regent Street on 1 November.
The men’s shop will be primarily a shirt shop and will include an assortment of J.Crew’s Ludlow Suiting, as well as other haberdashery and exclusive brand partners to include: Thomas Mason, London Undercover, Han Kjobenhavn, M&P Timepieces and Corgi. The store will open on 10 October this year.
The Brompton Cross boutique, at 175 Draycott Avenue, will sell limited-edition pieces from the J.Crew Collection and will include Italian cashmere, jewellery, handbags and shoes. The boutique will also offer exclusive design partners such as Comme des Garçons, hats by Patricia Field, and boots by Penelope Chilvers. The women’s boutique will open in early November of this year.
Millard Drexler, chairman and chief executive officer of J.Crew, said: “I love that every neighborhood throughout London has its own unique personality – it’s a lot like New York City in that way. After a lot of looking around and visiting various areas, we came across these two very different locations and knew – both were too good to pass up.”
