Property Week’s parent UBM has launched a ground-breaking online community, www.ubmfuturecities.com, for developers, advisers and urban environment specialists around the world.
The community will also include experts from the IT, transport, health and education worlds, and will debate how cities will be expanded and inhabited in years to come.
There will also be a strong input from Government, with a succession of city leaders already committed to take part.
A sharply rising proportion of the global population is expected to migrate to cities, and Property Week has already launched a weekly `Future Cities’ section in our print magazine to cover this trend.
The new section focuses on `Policy, Sustainability and Technology’.
Industry experts, alongside Property Week journalists, will be writing for the `Real Estate’ and `Urban Environment’ sections of the community, where bloggers will interact with readers 24 hours a day.
