Shock treatment

Sir, In reference to James Whitmore’s article, ‘Global shock would devastate property’ (news, 14.07.06), I would like to add that the Bank of England’s report also states that the probability of this ‘global shock’ occurring is very low, a view which has not changed since the beginning of the year.
