Construtora Tenda SA, the best performing homebuilding stock this year, plans to boost its sales force and speed up construction work as demand recovers in Brazil, Chief Financial Officer Paulo Mazzali said.

Tenda, about 60% owned by Gafisa, Brazil’s biggest homebuilder, may increase the sales force by 10% this year to about 400 people, Mazzali said in a Bloomberg television interview.

The Sao Paulo-based company aims to cut construction times on projects to four months from as many as 12 months by investing in technology that allows the company to build using aluminum patterns. The method is already being employed in Cotia, Sao Paulo state, and the company plans to extend it to other projects in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Bahia, Mazzali said.
