07:48 | 26.11.09
Toy retailer Hamleys and fashion brand H&M will kick off the opening of the £100m extension at Ivanhoe Cambridge’s St. Enoch shopping centre today.
The 250,000 sq ft extension will take the scheme to 765,000 sq ft in total.
Other retailers to have joined the scheme, Henleys, Pulp, Wheels of Sport, Jessica Boo, who are all new to Glasgow, will also open. Swatch, Folli Follie and Lambretta have also recently signed up for space.
It is currently 92% let.
The remaining units are being marketed by Cushman & Wakefield.
Hamleys has opened its second UK store in a 30,000 sq ft unit in the scheme. H&M is also opening a 32,000 sq ft unit today, one of the largest in Scotland.
The development will create a new entrance onto the corner of Buchanan Street and Argyle Street beneath a triple height glass fascia.
