South East region likely to be worst hit by Arcadia closures

Data – number of store closures by Arcadia brands since 2018

The South East is the part of the UK that is most exposed to Arcadia’s restructuring programme, reveals data from the Local Data Company.

The data shows that since January last year, Arcadia Group has conducted a ‘silent CVA’ that has involved the closure of 173 stores and concessions – including most of the 23 announced following Arcadia’s CVAs on 12 June, excluding Ireland.

Of the 173 stores that have already closed, 16% were in the South East, according to the data.
