MondayWeek is a new podcast for the real estate sector, out every Monday, where we invite senior business leaders to analyse the big stories defining the week. In the second episode, Dentons’ head of UK real estate, Deepa Deb, discusses business rates, the ongoing cladding crisis and why CVAs are crying out for reform.

As Britain wakes up to another week of Brexit drama, Deb believes that most firms still aren’t prepared to leave the EU, and warns that the current collaboration of lenders with retail and property firms will deteriorate rapidly once Government support vanishes next year.

Also in discussion is the arrest of Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson, the warning in last week’s Property Week that non-green schemes could be ‘uninvestable’, and Dublin, which could be set for an office boom as professional services firms rush to open offices in order to operate within the EU.
