City and West End office take-up outstrips 10-year average

City v West End Vacancy Rate

Office take-up exceeded 1.1m sq ft across the City of London and West End markets in May, thanks to strong demand from the technology and professional services sectors, according to the latest data from Savills.

Take-up in the City for the year to date stood at 2.7m sq ft – 10% up on this point last year and 30% up on the 10-year average.

In the West End, take-up was 1.62m sq ft, 11% up on the same period in 2017 and 9% up on the long-term average.
