Recession in the euro zone was confirmed in Q3 2012 with a 0.1% fall in GDP; outside the Eurozone the UK ended three consecutive quarters of contraction in GDP with particularly strong growth (+0.7%) only to be followed by preliminary Q4 GDP indicating contraction again.
