Do you have an opinion on BTR, affordable housing, planning or any of the major factors changing the residential sector? Then make sure to join us in debate this Thursday…in 280 characters. Twitter will be abuzz as the head of residential research at Savills, Lucian Cook (@LucianCook), resi experts from the event (@RESIevent) and journalists from Property Week (@propertyweek) host #RESIdebate.

The #RESIdebate, which will challenge participants to ’reimagine the housing market’, will take place on 21 June between 1pm and 2pm.

Ahead of the debate, Cook highlighted how affordable housing has attracted the interest of institutional investors but questioned “will it truly ease burden off developers?”. This will be a key topic covered alongside whether build-to-rent is really delivering and if the reign of the housebuilding heavyweights is coming to an end.

Last year’s #RESIdebate generated more than 1.7 million impressions across more than 100 tweets. To join this year’s top-level conversation, all you need to do is tweet your questions using #RESIdebate in advance or on the day.

Meanwhile, Property Week has added further new speakers to the bill for the RESI Convention, which takes place 12-14 September at Celtic Manor in Wales headlined by former London deputy mayor Richard Blakeway and Galliard Homes’ chief executive Donagh O’Sullivan.
