Tim Hall of Buildoffsite, Shaun Tate of Mace and Paul Rogers of Whittam Cox are the latest confirmed speakers at RESI 2018.

Paul Rogers of Whittam Cox

Paul Rogers of Whittam Cox will be speaking at RESI 2018

The trio of construction experts will take part in the ‘Construction and Delivery’ stream of masterclasses and ‘ask the expert’ sessions on day two of the convention, which will take place from 12-14 September at Celtic Manor in Wales.

Shaun Tate, director of high-rise solutions construction UK at Mace, will chair the sessions covering topics including sustainability of the construction sector and re-evaluating the status quo in the wake of the Carillion collapse. Earlier this year, Property Week reported on how Mace is employing drones on some of its major commercial and high-rise residential schemes to provide its clients with greater certainty over project deadlines. He will be joined by Paul Rogers, director at Whittam Cox, and Tim Hall, executive director at Build Offsite, as the debate will turn to issues of modern methods of construction including off-site manufacturing (OSM). The panel will look to see where the sector stands after the science and technology committee of the House of Lords highlighted a number of barriers holding back OSM in a 60-page report in July.

Fellow speakers in these sessions include the previously announced Deborah McLaughlin, managing director of Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure; Megan Robinson and Stewart Longo, technical co-ordinators at Barratt Developments; Lana Shaylor, business development director at Shaylor Group; and Will Waller, director at Aracdis.
