German modular housebuilder Huf Haus tells Property Week why it is expanding into apartments and offices – and increasingly the UK.

Fans of the BBC series Doctor Foster were not just enthralled by its drama and intrigue; many were also captivated by the home at the centre of much of the action. With its basement pool and huge, light, open spaces, the enormous home of the good doctor’s former husband and his young new bride was presented as the essence of modernity. In reality, however, it is no more modern than the ugly, post-war social housing built in the UK.

It is a Huf Haus, built by the German modular housebuilder of the same name and reportedly the largest ever produced at the company’s base, Huf Haus Village, near Cologne.
