As he pointed out, there has often been a disconnect between the two, largely due to the sheer volume of new proptech entrants and the confusion on the part of landlords, who are often not  presented with joined up solutions.

The onus is on the proptech community to provide clarity. Too often proptech firms launch straight into a confusing product overview without first making clear the industry trend it is linked to, or born out of. For proptech firms to succeed, they must learn to speak the language of the industry.

Those who can make it clear that proptech is not an optional extra but a valued necessity responding to a market trend will build the communication with the wider industry needed to succeed.
