Carpetright shares jump after creditors confirm CVA

Shares in embattled retailer Carpetright rose 6.41% to 41.50p on the FTSE on Friday after announcing on Thursday that creditors had approved its company voluntary arrangement (CVA), which will see it close 81 stores across the UK.

The CVA will be implemented if the company’s equity capital raising, which will be launched on 18 May, is successful.
