Barratt expects to beat full-year profit expectations

Barratt Developments has revealed it expects annual pre-tax profit to be ahead of expectations for the year to the end of June.

In a trading update ahead of the housebuilder’s full-year results in September it said it expected pre-tax profit to be around £910m compared to £835.5m at the same point last year. The group said the improvement was driven by continued strong progress from margin initiatives, a strong close to the year and additional contribution from joint ventures
