Countryside investors urges board to sell business

Countryside’s Great Kneighton scheme in Cambridge

The largest investor in Countryside Partnerships has urged the company to find a buyer following its rejection of a £1.5bn bid last week.

US hedge fund Browning West, which holds a 15.3% stake in Countryside, has called for the board to conduct a review of the group, which the investor said would perform better if it was privately owned or as part of a larger business.
