Countryside posts leap in annual profit

Housebuilder Countryside Properties has posted a sharp rise in annual profit following continued demand from first-time homebuyers.

For the year to 30 September, pre-tax profit rose by 21.8% to £180.7m, as revenue rose 20% to £1.02bn.
