McDonald’s in talks to cut UK rents

McDonald’s is in talks with UK landlords about cutting rent payments as the fast food chain prepares to reopen some restaurants after the easing of the Covid-19 lockdown.

McDonald’s paid in full for the current quarter but, like most businesses, faces its next quarterly rent bill on 24 June.
