US investment group Franklin Templeton has appointed former Columbia Threadneedle head of liquid alternatives George Szemere to lead its London-based EMEA alternative sales team.
Szemere will be responsible for growing Franklin Templeton’s alternative business in the EMEA region which include private equity, hedge, commodities and venture capital strategies for the likes of Franklin Venture Partners, Pelagos Capital Management and Templeton Private Equity Partners. Franklin Templeton has more than $683bn assets under management across 30 countries.
