Primark pushes for 30% rent cuts across dozens of stores

Primark is pushing for rent cuts of up to 30% across dozens of stores in a bid to bring its property costs in line with high street rivals that have used company voluntary arrangement to close stores and slash payments to landlords.

The budget fashion confirmed it is in discussions with landlords over lower rents on properties where lease contracts are coming up for renewal.
