The Schroder UK Real Estate Fund has picked up the award for the top-performing large unlisted balanced fund at MSCI Real Estate’s UK Property Investment Awards.
The fund, which has total net assets of almost £2.5bn, delivered average annual returns of 11.8% over the three years to the end of 2017.
Schroders said that the fund’s strong performance reflected the firm’s wider investment philosophy to focus on ‘winning cities’ and sectors benefiting from mega trends such as the ageing population, technological innovation and improving infrastructure.
