There’s another busy week ahead for property companies with both the UK’s largest estate agency groups reporting full-year figures.
On Thursday Countrywide, the UK’s largest estate agency group that also owns commercial agency LSH, is expected to post a second consecutive drop in annual revenue, with analysts predicting earnings to come in at around £627m for 2018, from £672m in 2017. More concerning will be the predicted 97% fall in earnings per share to 0.12p, but the company will be boosted if it lives up to pre-tax profit expectations and turns the £212m loss in 2017 in a profit of around £1.3m in 2018.
