Watkin Jones poaches Unite director to fill CEO role

Watkin Jones has poached Unite’s property director Richard Simpson to become its new chief executive.

After 13 years with the student accommodation giant, Simpson will step down from his role with immediate effect, but will remain with the group on garden leave until 31 December, and take up his new role at the beginning of 2019.
