The property industry’s annual Microscope Ball, which took place this month, raised £276,000 for muscular dystrophy.

The ball, which is the flagship event for Muscular Dystrophy UK and its single highest grossing fundraiser, is one of the major events in the property industry calendar, and is attended by over 750 of leading players from the sector.

This year’s ball, which took place on 8 October, included the sale of a holiday for 10 in Thailand that went for £6,000 – the highest selling lot in the auction, which altogether raised £21,700

A pledge from Louisa Hill, whose son Archie has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, rose nearly £7,000.

Next year’s event will take place on Thursday 6 October at Hilton Park Lane.
