Our occupier-led approach is focused on great placemaking. By actively supporting innovation at our projects at Milton Park Oxfordshire, Silverstone Park, Wellington Place Leeds and NOMA Manchester, my hope is that by providing facilities and events for our occupiers to share ideas they will grow.
Our expanding innovation centres and flexible working products, aimed at university spin-outs and start-ups, are exactly what bright minds in the UK’s rapidly expanding science and technology sector require.
This year will present many challenges. If our industry is to prosper, it needs to ensure real estate supports the entrepreneurial spirit that this country is renowned for. This can only happen if the right funding and support is in place to enable creative people and university spin-outs to successfully develop into viable companies, driving job creation and growth.
Resolution: I will continue to drive MEPC’s social impact investing strategy as a core part of our vision for placemaking.
James Dipple, chief executive at MEPC
