A bit of certainty wouldn’t go amiss – once we have that, I hope to see an uptick in activity across most sectors.
I also hope to see the huge potential of the UK’s regional economies realised as firms look to capitalise on the skills and expertise outside the major cities. Assuming an agreement is reached for the UK to have an orderly exit from the EU, I would expect the UK property market to have a solid if unspectacular year. In terms of our focus, south-east offices, we’re already seeing a notable level of occupier interest and I expect this to rise over the year.
Resolution: To get out of London more – everybody should. The London-centric focus doesn’t do us any favours.
