I hope the people who have been unsure about proptech dive in and invest in catching up with their peers.
The landlords and agents that already have are equipped to make more informed, faster decisions and very soon will be able to layer on market benchmarks to make the best investment and leasing decisions. Those who don’t will miss out on lucrative opportunities or, worse, be left behind.
I think 2019 will be the year that the movement to online leasing will begin in a transformative way. Commercial real estate is one of the only remaining offline industries and it’s time that changed – that’s why we’re launching the VTS marketplace.
By enabling agents, landlords and tenant reps to remove the inefficiencies and friction inherent in listing spaces, searching that inventory and completing the end-to-end deal cycle, everyone in the ecosystem becomes more efficient.
Resolution: To make big bets and continue to put our customers first. It will be easy for landlords and brokers to get distracted. Our job is to make the day-to-day lives of our customers better. This is the DNA of our company and it always will be.
