I hope we start to read some headlines suggesting whatever shape Brexit takes, it will not be the end of the world for London and the UK.

I expect a slow start to the year, but a busier second half. Sterling will have declined to such a level as to make the UK look like more of a bargain to overseas.

Retail will have another tough year and there will be more retailer casualties as a result of ever-increasing overhead costs. The industrial market will witness a flight to prime in terms of location and/or building quality.

Resolution: To continue growing Hines’ activities across the UK – recycling our core portfolio into value-added and development positions – and further developing our relationships with high-quality partners in niche areas.
