How Wood Wharf is hoping to woo tech occupiers

Wood Wharf

Canary Wharf Group is hoping to attract high-tech occupiers to its mixed-use Wood Wharf development. Property Week finds out how.

Wood Wharf, the 23-acre site adjacent to Canary Wharf, is already taking on a distinctly Silicon Wharf vibe.

One of the new office buildings has been designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, the architect behind Google’s ‘landscraper’ HQ at King’s Cross.

The site, which will eventually accommodate 2m sq ft of commercial space and thousands of new homes, is also attracting the sort of hip, independent occupiers that appeal to techies. Peckham restaurant Pedler and coffee shop/cocktail bar Grind have both pre-let space there, as has flexible workspace provider The Office Group.
