It almost got him into trouble when he took his parents’ car to bits and then struggled to put it back together – until a trusty Haynes manual bailed him out. Fast-forward a few decades and Demeroutis is still tinkering with things, but on a much larger scale.

As managing partner of developer FORE Partnership, he has built a 1m sq ft commercial and residential property portfolio with a value of circa €650m (£581m). In the next couple of years, he hopes to double that figure as FORE develops a pipeline of projects adhering to its ‘building forward’ concept.

Property Week caught up with Demeroutis in his Mayfair office to find out about the concept and his aspirations for the business.
