Interview with new intu chief executive Matthew Roberts

Matthew Roberts

Intu’s new chief executive Matthew Roberts talks about his plans for the UK retail giant.

The result somewhat took the shine off the biggest day in his career so far, as the Albion suffered a 3-0 loss. It did not get much better last Saturday, when his team lost 1-0 to Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. Roberts, who is currently intu’s chief financial officer and succeeds David Fischel on 29 April, will be hoping his team’s recent form is not an omen for his tenure at the top of intu.

He takes the hot seat at a hugely challenging time for the shopping centre landlord and wider retail sector.
