With Ireland’s population soaring, Property Week assesses what the government is doing to ensure housing and infrastructure keep up.

Such rapid demographic change is a key indicator of a healthy economy, but it also brings with it major issues – primarily a need for more housing and improved infrastructure – that need to be addressed. To that end, the Irish government recently launched Project Ireland 2040, a €116bn (£101bn) plan to deal with the anticipated growth.
