The law made simple: Why formal consent is so important

On 28 February 2003, in Jacey Property Company v De Sousa, the Court of Appeal determined that the defendant tenant must give up possession of premises in Wellworth Road, London SE17, as, among other things, the tenant had used the premises for a purpose prohibited by its lease.
