Tristan Capital to develop 26-storey building.

Earlier this year, Tristan Capital Partners revealed plans to develop the tallest office tower in Birmingham, at 26 storeys and 105.5m, after acquiring a prime site in the city centre via its EPISO 4 fund.

It will develop a new 233,000 sq ft tower on the site at 103 Colmore Row in the heart of the central business district.

Plans to redevelop the site have been in the works for some time. It previously housed a 23-storey tower completed in the 1970s that was occupied by National Westminster Bank. British Land acquired it in 2006 and lodged plans for a 35-storey tower, but these did not progress because of the financial crisis.
