CTP chief executive looks for new development projects in Sheffield

David Topham

Developer on the lookout for good development opportunities.

But all good things must come to an end and with the 78,000 sq ft 3 St Paul’s Place office building completed and sold to M&G earlier this year, Property Week caught up with Topham to find out what’s next for the man who helped transform Sheffield’s city centre.

Topham first looked to gain a toehold in the ‘steel city’ in the early 2000s, when CTP bid on a few development opportunities brought forward by urban regeneration company Sheffield One, then overseen by current Crown Estate chief executive Alison Nimmo.

The bids were unsuccessful, but then in 2004 Topham’s luck changed when along with St James Securities he clinched the opportunity to develop St Paul’s Place.
