Concerns of a ‘hangover’ following a strong 2017 were unfounded

Birmingham is enjoying an unprecedented level of enquiries for office space, according to CBRE.

Last year, the city chalked up more than 1m sq ft of lettings and a feared ‘hangover’ following the record year has failed to materialise. In the first half of this year, 318,412 sq ft of lettings were agreed, 26% above the same period last year.

Will Ventham, who heads the offices team at CBRE in Birmingham, says the market is in good health and continues to outperform expectations.
