Team Leicestershire used Mipim to seek private investment in four big science, space, technology and housing projects.
From science and enterprise parks to new manufacturing sites, they presented a myriad of investment and development opportunities in the hope of securing the private sector partners needed to deliver them.
Team Leicester took a record 20 sponsors to Mipim, and for the second year running joined The Midlands UK Pavilion to present a unified package to developers and highlight its role in driving the ‘Midlands Engine’.
The team focused on four projects worth an estimated total of £10bn: the Ashton Green housing development in Leicester; Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park; Space Park Leicester; and the MIRA Technology Park near Hinckley.
