Milburngate to put Durham on North East office map

Milburngate arlington

Scheme will massively expand town’s grade-A office market

Arlington’s Milburngate scheme on Durham’s riverbank, close to both the station and UNESCO World Heritage Site around the cathedral, is intended to breathe fresh economic life into the city and give occupiers an alternative to nearby Newcastle.

The £150m project will comprise 400 apartments, up to 230,000 sq ft of offices, a Premier Inn hotel, an Everyman cinema (already secured to anchor the development) and bars and restaurant chains such as Pitcher & Piano.
