As Europe reaches the late-cycle stage, core funds are having to make tough investment decisions.
The funds are emulating the success of core funds in the US, which have more than $200bn (£163.7bn) in assets under management.
So far, they have done exactly what they promised by delivering solid returns. However, with inflows showing no signs of abating and European investment markets reaching the late-cycle stage, fund managers face increasingly challenging investment decisions.
