SEGRO powers up giant Midlands Gateway logistics development

Major occupiers have taken space at the circa 6m sq ft scheme.

Shop Direct, Kuehne + Nagel and Nestlé, the latter of which will share its distribution centre with XPO Logistics, have all signed for space at the site. And although Amazon is yet to officially confirm that it will be an occupier, those close to the scheme have not denied reports that the US behemoth has signed for around 700,000 sq ft.

In total, 2.7m sq ft of space has been let at the site in just over a year. John Burbage of Burbage Realty, an agent on the scheme along with CBRE and Savills, says: “You don’t generally get that many deals in such a quick period.”
