The Florence Building could start an office renaissance in Basingstoke

With cheap rent and good rail links, the town is ripe for more schemes.

Developer Abstract Securities is putting the finishing touches to the Florence Building, a 60,535 sq ft speculatively built grade-A office at Basing View that is scheduled to complete in July.

According to Mark Glatman, chief executive of Abstract Securities, a more open and forward-thinking approach by Basingstoke and Deane council has been key to attracting investment to the town.
