Old country houses to be turned into co-living schemes

A new concept in property rental whereby old manor houses are turned into tech-enabled co-living spaces has been born in Leamington Spa.

Vik Tara (pictured), who runs and is chief technology officer of a number of tech and proptech companies including PropCo Enterprise, has embarked on a new project to renovate dilapidated country houses by turning them into modern co-living schemes aimed at London workers.

His new company, vi.ta., is pushing ahead with its first scheme. Tara identified what he believes is the perfect house for a pilot of this concept and secured planning permission in June.
