A lack of compelling opportunities at home and the desire to diversify have driven a flood of Asian investment into European real estate markets.

“Investment is coming in from a range of domiciles,” says Damian Harrington, head of EMEA research and forecasting at Colliers International. “South Korea and Singapore have been the biggest investors from the region so far in 2019, but capital has also flowed in from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan and the Philippines.
