Atlas Property Group bought Liverpool’s India Buildings for £45m in the largest investment deal the city had ever seen.
It was one of 16 deals funded by Atlas’s Achilleas Kallakis and Alexander Williams with £740m in Allied Irish Bank loans obtained illegally using forged documents.
They were jailed for fraud in 2013 for 11 and eight years respectively.
L&G bought the India Buildings for around £120m in 2018, after HMRC signed a lease for the whole building.
